Maryann Mootos
SOPRANO

Soprano Maryann Mootos will appear in the role of Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with Opera New

York in the fall of 2008 under the direction of Judith Fredricks in New York City. She will also be singing with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra in November 2008 under the direction of Jeffrey Rink in “A Night at the Opera”. In 2007, she performed the role of Nedda in Chorus Pro Musica’s concert production of I Pagliacci conducted by Maestro Rink. Ms. Mootos also appeared in the role of Mimi in La Boheme with Miami Lyric Opera and again as Nedda with Chelsea Opera in New York City. Other roles include Birdie in Mark Blitzstein’s Regina with the Boston Opera Project as well as Micaela in Carmen with Amato Opera.
Ms. Mootos was the recipient of the Marquis Award in the Emerging Professional Division of the 2006 Classical Singer AudComps Competition. In 2005, she studied and performed abroad in Spoleto, Italy with the Spoleto Arts Symposia. She has appeared as a soloist with the Newton Community Chorus in Massachusetts as Gabriel (Haydn’s Creation) and has also performed as a soloist at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music with the Temple University Orchestra and Chorus, as well as the Reading Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Mootos received a Bachelor’s degree in Voice from the Eastman School of Music, and her Master’s degree in Opera Performance from Temple University where she attended on a full scholarship.

Nick Williams perform in The Staten Island Sopranos (Divas to Die for!) and a Tenor or two. Nick is the music director at Our Lady Star Of-The-Sea Church and is the founder of the OLSS theatre group in which he directs and performs.  Nick has also been in numerous musical productions and sang in many restaurants across the island as well as Manhattan.


Ryan Kelly

Ryan Kelly, (Miss SI 2002), was last seen as the lead vocalist in My Way at Gateway Playhouse. Producers Phill Ramone & Sonny Grosso have selected her to play a double role in the new broadway Mario Lanza musical Be My Love,
